Red light arrests continue

THREE more arrests have been made in the police crackdown on kerb-crawling and prostitution in Rochester's red light area. The initiative, known as Operation Quota, was set up to improve the quality of life for residents living in the Gundulph Road and Rochester High Street. There were four charges in April.

The recent arrests were of Alan Geoffrey Woodhouse, 32, of Magpie Hall Road, Chatham, and Michael John Ramsden, 37, of Chart Place, Gillingham, who were both charged with kerb-crawling. Rebecca Carr, 21, of Maidstone Road, Chatham, was charged with soliciting.
