Road closures across Kent after strong winds cause fallen trees to block routes

Strong winds overnight have uprooted dozens of trees across Kent, which are blocking roads and causing delays.

Gusts hit as the county experienced the remnants of Hurricane Gonzalo, but the Met Office has now removed weather warnings for strong winds in the area.

Drivers are being diverted as Kent Highways teams deal with fallen trees in various areas.

Today's problems come after commuters were evacuated from a train which hit a fallen tree in Snodland yesterday evening.
