Drivers faced lunchtime delays today after a car and lorry smashed into each other on the M20.

The incident happened at 12.30pm on the coastbound carriageway, about half-a-mile from junction four at West Malling/Larkfield.

A green Fiat Brava and a foreign-registered lorry were involved.

The carriageway had to be closed as the car had flipped onto its roof and blocked lane one.

South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene but nobody was injured.

Lanes two and three were re-opened shortly after 1.05pm. Lane one was opened at 1.45pm.

The cause of the crash is unknown.
