Snow and sleet in Kent

Gritters are out this morning after snow and sleet hit parts of Kent.

The cold weather conditions come days after it was predicted the county would be hit by a mini Beast from the East.

Snowfall was reported in the west of the county, with road surface temperatures falling below zero.

Kent County Council said it will be treating all primary routes from 4.30pm as road surface temperatures are expected to fall below zero for a time overnight.
