Strood man Gurjinder Narman charged with rape

A Strood man accused of sexual assault on two pensioners has been charged with raping a 12-year-old boy.

Gurjinder Narman, 21, of London Road, appeared at Medway Magistrates' Court accused of assaulting the two women aged 85 and 79.

During the hearing on Thursday, Narman was also charged with the rape, which was reported to police on August 13, in Strood.

In relation to the rape charge, Narman has been committed to crown court and will appear at Maidstone Crown Court on November 20.

One of the alleged attacks on the pensioners took place in Gravesend on June 27, while the other was reported in Strood on Ocober 4.

Narman has been remanded in custody and will next appear at the same court via video link next Tuesday.

He was charged with two counts of knowingly trespassing to commit a sexual offence and sexual assault, in relation to the attacks on the pensioners. He is yet to enter a plea any of the charges.
