A fire that damaged two derelict houses in Gillingham last night is being treated as suspicious.

Fire crews were called to the terraced houses in Mill Road, opposite Medway Park, shortly after 9.20pm.

Four engines were involved at the height of the operation and the fire was quickly controlled with minimal damage to the buildings.

No one was hurt in the incident.
