Teenager arrested after man stabbed during fight in Queen Street, Deal

A teenager has been arrested after a man was stabbed during a fight in Deal.

Violence broke out on Queen Street in the early hours of this morning when the victim, who was walking with a friend, was approached by another group of young people.

Police say words were exchanged between the groups before a fight broke out.

The man - who is in his 20s - was taken to a local hospital for treatment shortly after 3.10am.

His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

A 16-year-old boy from the town has been arrested on suspicion of assault and remains in custody.
