Ebbsfleet Garden City announced a £34 million parcel of land will be transformed into a commercial district "at the heart" of the multi-billion pound project. It's thought the 15,000-home development between Dartford and Gravesend will be complete by 2035.

£115 million tourist trap plan

Construction is due to begin within weeks on a £115 million project boasting a new cinema, restaurants and bars that will include 189 affordable homes and student flats in Canterbury. Those behind the plan hope it will help lure tourists to other areas of the city.

Bison scheme for wood

Meanwhile, an animal park is hoping to introduce bison into the wild on the outskirts of a town and is appealing for help as it seeks to raise several thousand pounds in donations.

36 top restaurants in Kent

Thirty six of Kent's top restaurants and eateries have been included in the AA's The Restaurant Guide for 2020, including two of the county's Michelin Starred venues.
