Thieves didn't stop at swiping the contents of a stables when they raided it - they stole the guard dog too!

The criminals also made off with a red Renault Clio saloon, with the registration R919XFC, and two saddles during the theft from a field in Cox Street, Detling between 3pm on Monday, July 6 and 5pm on Tuesday, July 7.

Owner Hayley Daniels-Lake, 24, is now desperate to have her much loved dog, Mystery, returned.

She said: "I just can't believe someone would take a dog. You just don't expect it with a Rottweiler."

Mystery is chipped and has distinguishing marks.
