Three Royal Netherlands Air Force Chinooks spotted flying over Kent

Three military Chinooks were spotted as they flew over the county today.

Footage captured in St Mary’s Island, Medway, shows the impressive aircrafts travelling in a triangular formation.

They have also been spotted in areas around Canterbury and Sandwich.

The Chinooks are from the Royal Netherlands Air Force and took off from a base near Tilburg shortly after 10am today.

They then reached the Kent coast at about 11.15am before looping around London and going ‘out of range’ on the Flightradar tracking site in Oxfordshire.
