Three taken to hospital after A20 Charing crash

Three teenage girls have been taken to hospital after their car was in a crash on the A20 at Charing this morning.

A black Ford Fiesta travelling from Ashford towards Charing left the road and hit some trees at just after 11.30am.

The Fiesta driver was flown to Kings College Hospital by air ambulance, with serious head injuries.

A back seat passenger was flown to the Royal London Hospital, also with serious injuries.

A front seat passenger was taken by land ambulance to the William Harvey Hospital, Ashford with minor injuries.

The Ashford-bound carriageway of the A20 has now re-opened, but the Maidstone-bound carriageway is due to be closed until the Kent Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit has finished investigating.
