DETECTIVES are investigating after a man was robbed of his wallet and jewellery at Wilderness Hill at Margate.

The 25-year-old victim was confronted by two men who demanded money and his rings. They also wanted his mobile telephone but he ran off before it could be taken.

Detectives say the threats were made by two men in their late teens or early twenties. Both spoke with a Scottish accent. One was wearing a beige baseball cap, black jacket, and trousers tucked into his socks.

The incident happened in the early hours of Saturday morning.
