Tributes paid to much-loved teacher killed in M25 crash

Thousands of people have joined a tribute website set up to honour a teacher killed on the M25 at the weekend.

The woman, named on Facebook and our website as Nicola Culshaw, died in an accident that also left three others injured.

Six cars and a lorry collided near junction three on the approach to the Dartford Tunnel.

Miss Culshaw was a chemistry teacher from southeast London.

The carriageway was closed at junction two to allow emergency services to attend the pile up, causing severe delays for motorists.

The Red Cross was also brought in to help drivers caught up in the queues.

Commenting on this website, Pierra said: "She seemed soo lovely. It's such a shame."

Eleanor said: "You were a great Chemistry teacher and will be very much missed."

Police have thanked drivers for their patience during the seven hour traffic jams that resulted.

Ch Insp Andy Reeves from Kent Police said: "Any incident involving a fatality does take a significant amount of time to deal with, particularly when it happens on a motorway or when it involves a large number of vehicles."

"Overwhelmingly, people understand what is involved in dealing with these tragic incidents and we're really grateful for their support."
