Around 20 firefighters tackled a fire at a shop in Westwood Cross last night.

Crews were called to the Broadstairs shopping centre at just before 11pm.

It is thought the blaze started in a mechanical stock picker in the story - reportedly Primark, which is yet to open.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service said crews were at the scene until 12.30am and no one was injured.

Meanwhile, around 20 firefighters were called to a blaze at a pub in Beach Street, Deal, last night.

Crews were called to the three-storey building at just after midnight and spent more than two hours at the scene.
