Two in court on murder charge

TWO men accused of the murder of Lee Harvey, a former cleaner at Ellington School, Ramsgate, have appeared in court at Margate.

Mr Harvey, 30, of Chichester Road, Ramsgate, was allegedly kicked to death on Friday night. His body was found on the Dane Valley industrial estate, Broadstairs, the next morning, next to his burned out car.

Gary Crewe, 25, unemployed of Millmead Road, Margate, and Robert Honan, 25, also unemployed, of Godwin Road, Cliftonville, are charged with his murder.

A third unemployed man, Richard Brown, 36, of William Avenue, Margate, also appeared in court accused of assisting the pair and of perverting the course of justice.

The case against all three men was transferred to Maidstone Crown Court. The date of their next court appearnace has not been fixed.
