Two quizzed after student is found murdered

DETECTIVES in North Kent are today continuing to question two men arrested after the body of 18-year-old student Natalie Janiak was discovered in an alleyway at Wilmington, near Dartford.

The body of Miss Janiak, from Blackheath, was spotted by a man walking his dog at about 7.40am on Saturday. A post mortem examination later showed she died of asphyxiation.

A Kent police spokeswoman said it had not yet been established how her body came to be in the alley close to Capel Place, Wilmington, but it was known she had been out with friends on Friday night.

The spokeswoman added: "We would like to hear from anyone who knew Natalie, or anyone who saw her or anything suspicious in the area where her body was found."

Miss Janiak had shoulder length, curly auburn hair. She was last seen wearing a white cardigan, a lilac top with sparkles, black boots and black trousers.
