Rare footage of attempts to cross the channel have been put
together on a special DVD.

Among the stunts being celebrated is a man who used a giant gin
bottle to travel between Kent and France.

They are not all sea-going crafts though, some of the archive
footage includes airplanes and hot air balloons.

It's been produced by Kent film maker Phil Heath and is
available from Dover Museum or Heathwood Studios' website
