Oli Kemp gets the bride
to church on time

A couple's dream 'second wedding' was saved - thanks to kmfm's
Oli Kemp and a 4x4 vehicle.

Sally and Graeme Kennaird's hopes of renewing their wedding
vows were almost scuppered by the snow - until kmfm presenter
Oli was dispatched in a 4x4 to help them get to the church on
time.

The couple, from Barming, had always dreamed of a white wedding,
but they ended up getting more than they bargained for when the
wintry weather arrived.

They had hired a Rolls Royce to take them from their home to the
St Thomas More church in West Malling, but with heavy snow making
the route treacherous, the car hire firm pulled out.

The couple were all set to call off their big day until Mrs
Kennaird's sister Mandy called KM Group to see if we could help.
And we were only too happy to oblige.

Oli Kemp, presenter of kmfm's Breakfast Congregation, braved the
ice and snow to chauffeur Mrs Kennaird to the church, and it was a
ride she to remember.

She said: "I was in tears thinking it all wasn't going to
happen. Everyone was texting and calling to see if it was still on.
My sister contacted the Kent Messenger and I'm just so grateful
they decided to help us make it go ahead."

Sally and Graeme were originally married 27 years ago, but had
little money so couldn't have the white wedding they'd dreamed of.
Last year they decided to renew their vows and began planning.

They managed to track down the priest who performed their
original wedding, Father Sean Harty, who agreed to perform the
ceremony again. They also managed to book the church for the exact
day they married 27 years ago.
