Check out the culinary magic at Eurofair

by Adam Williams

Culinary novices and experts flocked to Canterbury over the
weekend for the annual Eurofair and Kent Food and Drink
Festival.

Tipples and tastes from every continent were featured on more than 100 stalls in the city's Dane John Gardens, but the bulk of the produce on offer came from the county itself, thanks to the work of organisation Produced in Kent.

Would-be chefs also had a chance to pick up tips from experts
such as Michael Caines and Paul Hollywood through live cooking
demonstrations and workshops, with music from groups such as
Moveable Feast and The Goosebumps.

Organiser Caroline Fowler, from Canterbury City Council,
said: "It's easily the biggest Eurofair we've put on to date
and the vast range on offer suits everyone from the aspiring chef
to the food lover.

"Here in Kent, we're a huge producer of meat, fruit and
vegetables and if people don't support events such as these and the
producers at them, then we'd end up with some very bland food on
our plates."
