Audio: Asst Chief
Constable Andy Adams, on steps taken after Climate Camp

Assistant Chief Constable Andy Adams said: “We
believe that 70 per cent of the issues identified we have already
resolved or have dealt with and the others we are going to take
forward over the next few months.”

Ann Barnes, chairman of the Kent Police
Authority told Kentonline:

“I am very pleased with the progress so far.
There were shortcomings and it is disappointing. The job of the
Police Authority is to hold the force and the Chief Constable to
account so we get the best possible policing in Kent and
Medway.”

In a bid to help other forces in the future
all the information gathered is being put together to form a
‘toolkit.’ Ms Barnes went onto say: “It is a new kind of policing
operation and we all have to learn and we have learnt the lessons
here in Kent.”
