Volcanic dust sunset over Kent

Volcanic sunset over Kent

It was a sight for sore eyes - the first of what could be a summer of volcanic sunsets in Kent.

These spectacular shots of the sun going down in a cloud of ash were taken by our snappers last night.

There was not a plane in the sky - because they''ve all been grounded.

But the scenes were serene thanks to the dust blown over from Iceland following a volcanic eruption there.

According to weather experts, tonight's sunset is shaping up to be another incredible light show.

So if you have a camera to hand why not take a picture yourself and send it to KentOnline.

Email your snaps tokentonlinenews@thekmgroup.co.uk or leave a comment below telling us what you saw.
