General Election 2019: Voters head to the polls across Kent and Medway

Voters have been braving wet and cold weather to queue up at polling stations across Kent.

Pubs, a castle, and a zoo - are just some of the more unusual locations being used.

KMTV's Election Special will bring you all the results as they come in

There are 17 constituencies up for grabs in Kent and Medway, all but one - Canterbury - held by the Conservatives.

In total, around 90 candidates are standing for election.

The election campaign - the first December poll since 1923 - has been dominated by Brexit and the NHS.

At the last election, 892,000 votes were cast by voters in Kent, representing a turnout of 69%.

Voters at a Kent polling station got more than they bargained for when an internet prankster showed up in his boxer shorts clutching a sound system.

Polling stations across Kent will close at 10pm with results being announced through the night.

As Kent is going to the polls - these are the times the results are expected for each constituency.
