Candle-lit vigils were held after a baby suffered multiple injuries in Gravesend

A woman arrested after a month-old baby suffered serious injuries in Gravesend has been released without charge.

The 34-year-old was on bail over the incident, but was told by police today she will not face charges.

It comes after Nathan Rawling, 35, of St Gregory's Crescent, Gravesend, appeared before Maidstone magistrates on Saturday charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent on December 1 last year.

He is on conditional bail and will appear at Maidstone Crown Court on May 25.

The baby has made a full recovery.
