Kent woman dies after crashing into slip-road barrier on A34 in Oxfordshire

A woman has died after her car crashed into a slip-road barrier this morning.

The driver of a red jaguar, a woman in her 40s from Kent, was driving along the A34 northbound in Oxfordshire at around 10am when the collision happened.

She died at the scene of the crash. Her next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.

Thames Valley Police confirmed nobody else was injured as a result of the collision.

Officers remain at the scene while investigation and recovery work is ongoing.

Diversions are currently in place and the force is asking motorists to avoid the area.

Sergeant Matt Cadmore of the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit, said: “We are investigating the circumstances of this road traffic collision in which a woman has sadly died. My thoughts remain with her family at this difficult time.

“We are appealing for the public’s help in our enquiries and we would ask anyone who has witnessed this collision or if they have dash-cam footage that captures the incident to please come forward."
