More women aged over 50 are choosing to have babies later with 238 giving birth last year.
The number has more than quadrupled in the last 15 years, according to the Office for National Statistics.
Most of them had fallen pregnant at foreign clinics before returning to the UK to give birth. We asked shoppers in Strood what they thought.
