Youths caught playing on railway tracks at Teynham

Two youngsters were caught risking their lives playing on rail tracks.

Police were sent to Teynham, between Sittingbourne and Faversham today, after the pair were spotted.

They were both taken home and have been been reported for trespass.

British Transport Police launched a campaign last year after figures revealed one teenager risks their life every four hours on railway tracks.

In October 2018 children were caught playing chicken on the tracks at Yalding.

The same month a driver was forced to stop his train in Whitstable after seeing children on the line.
