Leon Camier is relishing the prospect of riding at Silverstone on Sunday when the FIM World Superbike Championship season makes it's second trip to England.

The Ashford born rider, who rode at Donington Park earlier this season, won the British Superbike title at the Northamptonshire circuit in 2009, and set the weekend's fastest lap there 12 months ago, only to then crash in the first race.

Camier said: "It's always special to race in-front of the home fans. I really like Silverstone and it's a track I have had a lot of success at in the past.

"It will be a better atmosphere this year as the start-line has moved back to the National Paddock, but the layout is the same.

"I had the best lap throughout the whole weekend last year, but the races didn't go to plan although we were looking good in the first race until I crashed!

"The FIXI Crescent Suzuki GSX-R is improving all the time, so hopefully we'll start turning the promising moments we have had so far this season into positive results very soon."

Camier starts the meeting 10th in the overall standings, following his ninth place finish last time out in Moscow last month.

The second race in the Russian capital was called off following the death of Italian Andrea Antonelli in a supporting race.
