Excitement is building among Kent’s top non-league football sides following the announcement of their 2020/21 season fixtures.
Dover Athletic, who have had money worries to contend with over the summer, will welcome former Football League side Notts County to Crabble for their first game of the season.
There were fears the club might not even be able to compete after suffering heavily during the Covid-19 shutdown.
National League sides kick their season off on Saturday, October 3.
Hessenthaler’s side host Dagenham on the Boxing Day schedule but will have a long journey north for their last game of the season, with a trip to Hartlepool United.
Bromley, who finished 13th, start with a trip to relegated Macclesfield Town. The Silkmen were relegated after a points deduction left them bottom of League 2, in place of Stevenage.
National League South sides start their season on Tuesday, October 6, as FA Cup second qualifying action takes place on the weekend of the 3rd for those teams at that level.
Dartford finished sixth last season and missed out on promotion through the end of season play-offs. They have a home start with Chelmsford City the visitors to Princes Park.
Ebbsfleet United, relegated out of the National League and under a new manager in Dennis Kutrieb, start with an away game in Essex as they head to Braintree Town.
There’s a Boxing Day clash between Fleet and Dartford to look forward to at Stonebridge Road while Tonbridge Angels will host Maidstone United for their Christmas cracker.
The Stones finished ninth and they will face near-neighbours Welling United at the Gallagher Stadium in their first game back
Tonbridge Angels start their season with a trip to Billericay Town. The Angels finished 15th place in the 2019/20 campaign, positive end to the season in their first year back at that level after promotion from the Isthmian League Premier Division
Final day fixtures in National League South will take place on Saturday, May 29.
Fleet will make the trip over the bridge to face Chelmsford City, Dartford will host Dulwich Hamlet and the Stones will be at ome to St Albans City
Tonbridge Angels will end their campaign at Hampton & Richmond while Welling United will host Hungerford.
