Danny Hollands has ended his stay with Gillingham.

The on-loan Charlton Athletic midfielder played 18 games during his spell with the club.

But he has been out of the side in recent games, after picking up a knee injury in the 2-2 draw against Peterborough United.

Hollands is the second loan player to head back to his parent club. On Saturday Donervon Daniels announced that he was returning to Premier League club West Brom.

Gills boss Peter Taylor said: "The loans were up and I had to look at everything I needed for the next half of the season, so I decided not to carry them on.

"Good luck to them, hopefully they go back and get another loan sorted out or get playing for their clubs.”
