Danny Kedwell is a slight injury doubt for the Gills ahead of their game at Port Vale.
Interim boss Peter Taylor will has revealed that the club’s leading scorer has a slight hamstring strain.
And that could open the door for someone else to take his place.
Taylor said: “Danny Kedwell is the only (injury doubt) as he has a little bit of a tight hamstring but we are hoping it is just a bit of tiredness following the amount of work he has put in over the last couple of games. We are hoping he will be fine.”
Kedwell has scored twice in the last two games, to take his goal tally for the season to six.
And Taylor has been delighted with the 30-year-old’s form since he took over.
“He deserves his two goals and he has looked as though he could have scored more,” Taylor said.
“That’s pleasing for me, because before I got here his main goals were penalties, so it’s nice he is scoring them in open play.”
