KENT have announced pre-tax operating losses of £7,381 for the year ending October 31, 2007.
The county's accounts were revealed to members in a new-look, glossy brochure worthy of an annual report by a blue-chip plc.
On the surface, the figures also have a rosier glow to them, considering Kent made overall losses approaching £476,000 in the previous two years and only posted a surplus in 2006 after selling their Chevallier Tayler oil painting.
Though membership levels dropped for 2007, gate receipts increased by almost £75,000 over the summer as income grew by just over £400,000 to £4.8million - mainly due to a £262,637 increase in Kent's share of ECB Test match receipts.
The figures will be discussed at Kent's annual meeting in Ashford on Monday, March 10.
