GILLINGHAM are believed to be one of several clubs attempting to sign Rushden & Diamonds striker Simeon Jackson.

The 20-year-old, who was at Gills as a youngster, has struck 14 league goals for the Blue Square Premier side this season

Gills manager Mark Stimson is determined to add a goal-scoring striker to the squad and Jackson could fit the bill if they can match Rushden’s price tag.

Among the clubs chasing Jackson is ambitious League 2 side Peterborough United.
