Dover Athletic, Maidstone United, Tonbridge Angels, Dartford, Ebbsfleet United and Welling United now know when the 2021/22 season will kick off

Kent’s leading non-league teams will get the new 2021/22 season under way in August.

The current season is already over for those teams in National League South, while it’s also over for National League Dover Athletic, after they stopped play due to lack of finances despite play at that level continuing.

Dates for the new campaign have now been announced with National League sides getting their season started on Saturday, August 21 and those in National League South and North returning a week earlier, on Saturday, August 14.

The current campaign got started later than normal, in October, due to the Covid pandemic and matches in the National League are scheduled until the end of May, with play-off games after that.

With Covid restrictions set to be ended in June it’s expected fans will be able to return to watch their clubs for the new campaign.

Further key dates are set to be confirmed in due course.
