BATTLING Gillingham gained an FA Cup, fourth round, replay with a battling display against mighty Leeds at Priestfield this afternoon.

England's blond striker Alan Smith put the Yorkshire club ahead shortly after half time but Gillingham's Mamady Sidibe netted the all-important equaliser just minutes from the final whistle.

Leeds star Mark Viduka was sent off shortly before Sidibe struck for a foul on Gills skipper Andy Hessenthaler.

The replay at Elland Road will take place on Tuesday week.
