GILLS boss Mark Stimson was unimpressed with the potency of his strikers on Saturday.
And he insisted that players will only get so many chances at the club.
“It was frustrating for me to watch my strikers,” said Stimson. “I’m going to watch the video (of Saturday’s game) and it will be interesting to see their stats and see how many shots they got away or efforts on goal. I don’t think there’ll be many.
“We could have done with Luis Cumbers’ legs up front, because I wasn’t too pleased with Delroy’s performance – and that’s why I took him off at half-time.
“I said to the boys that they have to be able to get around the pitch. We keep saying to the players and I’m not sure if they believe us but you only get a certain amount of chances.
“Delroy scored one at Huddersfield and Gary got two and you think ‘good, now they can start a run’ but unfortunately since then I don’t think any of them have had a shot.
“We’ve got to improve and we’ve got to improve at the top end and that’s something we’ll be looking to try and do.”
