Fines for graffiti in Canterbury have gone up from 80 to £150.

The issue has been a frequent one in the county in recent months but the council has confirmed it doesn't have any official figures to show that fines have been issued. It's hoped the penalty increase will deter taggers and street artists but some say it won't help cut the graffiti which costs the taxpayer thousands of pounds.
