Groundbreaking leukaemia discovery made by Kent experts

The way we treat and diagnose leukaemia could radically change thanks to researchers at the University of Kent. Scientists say they've discovered that blood cancer cells release a protein which prevents the patients immune system from fighting off the disease. They say this discovery could lead to a fundamental change to diagnosis and treatment.
