Parents could be charged thousands for taking their children out of school early

WATCH: Lanchashire county council wants to fine parents £1,000 each if children are taken out of school for holidays. Previously charged £120 per child, parents in Kent would have to pay thousands in order to clamp down on unauthorised school absences.If successful, the scheme could be rolled out across the country.
