Should learning a second language be a priority for pupils?

It has been revealed that fewer children in Kent are learning a second language. New research has found that half of sixth forms in the UK have been forced to stop offering A-Levels in languages because of inadequate funding. The research by the Sixth Form College Association says French, Spanish and German have been hit the hardest. So should learning a second language be a priority? We asked shoppers in Maidstone.
