The Hayesbrook School is a non-selective secondary school for boys, 11 - 16 years, with a mixed Sixth Form. This school is a genuinely wide ability school and serve the communities of Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells, Sevenoaks, Kings Hill and the surrounding areas. The Hayesbrook School is an extremely ambitious academy community and is committed to making sure all students receive an excellent education to achieve their full potential. Within the Hayesbrook community, working hard and wanting to achieve is the norm.
The curriculum is designed to ensure that all children achieve the necessary qualification to progress. The school recognises that one size does not fit all and remains flexible to unlocking the potential in every student. The staff of highly qualified, dynamic teachers care about and believe in every student. They are motivational role models who know how to bring the curriculum to life and inspire success. The community approach means that they know their students as individuals, understand their needs and pay close attention to supporting them to be their best. The emphasis of learning, teaching and behaviour has been reflected in every Ofsted report since 2000. The report states that “strong teaching, careful tracking and individualised support are securing improvements in student achievement.”
The Hayesbrook School is aware that learning does not just take place in the classroom. They firmly believe that exciting opportunities not only bring learning to life but make life-long memories and help develop high levels of resilience, self-esteem and confidence. Alongside the formal curriculum, Hayesbrook School students learn new skills and develop their knowledge through involvement in a variety of clubs and team activities. During their time at the school, students have the chance to take part in a variety of trips and visits both at home and abroad, to learn about different cultures.
