Nestled amongst the woodlands at the historic Eridge Estate, close to Tunbridge Wells on the Kent and East Sussex borders, Deer Park Campsite combines beautiful scenery, frolicking wild deer and sleeping under the stars. Designed to be the perfect staycation, as well as an idyllic destination for travellers from the UK and further afield, the campsite showcases the very best of the Kent and Sussex countryside.
The grounds feature 60 spacious pitches for family-friendly tent-only camping and quality facilities. There are hot showers on site, a convenient food shop, a camping shop and a flower shop - not to mention the Deer Park Cafe, which serves soft and alcoholic beverages and tasty grub. The breakfast and lunch menus are comprehensive, with pizzas available on Thursdays, a BBQ on Fridays and gourmet burgers straight from the grill on Saturdays. Deer Park staff are incredibly friendly and will go above and beyond to ensure every guest has a great time.
There are lots of things to at Deer Park Campsite, and within the local area. Why not have a go at clay pigeon shooting or head down to the magical two-acre lake for some trout fishing? The Eridge Estate hosts a number of exciting public events every year, including festivals, country fairs, sporting competitions and charity galas, and if you’re looking to unwind, you can pop into one of the laid-back, traditional pubs nearby.
Adventurers can embark on the Mayfield and Tunbridge Wells circular walks, which offer a fantastic way to take in the stunning natural landscapes. Bedgebury Forest and National Park is just 11 miles away, featuring various walks and cycling paths, as well as Go Ape, a fun activity where you can swing through the trees. Bewl Water is an ideal option for water enthusiasts, with activities including sailing, canoeing and windsurfing, and there are many heritage sites to explore, including Scotney Castle, Hever Castle and Penhurst Place.
Deer Park Campsite is easy to access and there is plenty of parking available. The site is committed to creating a safe, peaceful and enjoyable environment for guests. It does not permit campervans, pets (excluding service animals) or fire pits, but BBQs are welcome.
