Motorcyclist taken to Tunbridge Wells Hospital after crashing into car in Barming and sustaining leg injuries

A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital after crashing into a car.

It happened in Barming, Maidstone, on Hermitage Lane between Chapelfield Way and Barming train station at around 7am this morning.

A South East Coast Ambulance Service spokesman said: "Ambulance crews attended the scene and the motorcyclist was assessed and treated for a leg injury before being taken to Tunbridge Wells Hospital."

A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called at around 7am regarding a collision involving a car and a motorcycle in Hermitage Lane, Maidstone.

"Officers and South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene where the motorcyclist was treated for injuries.

"He was taken to a local hospital for further medical attention."

The biker's injuries are not described as life-threatening.

Kent County Council's highways team say earlier delays on the road have cleared after the incident.
