A body found at a house in Maidstone has been identified as missing man Nikola Georgiev.

The 39-year-old had last been seen in the Upper Stone Street area of the town at about 8pm on Sunday, March 17.

Inquiries were carried out into his whereabouts including two public appeals for information, but Mr Georgiev could not be traced.

On Thursday, May 16 officers attended a property in Stagshaw Close, Maidstone, after a body was found.

Tests were carried out and yesterday and officers were told that the body was Mr Georgiev.

His death is not being treated as suspicious.

A report is being prepared for the coroner.
