A second Costcutter has been targeted by thieves in Maidstone.
A branch of the chain in Beverley Road, Barming, was burgled in the early hours of this morning.
The incident comes two days after a cashpoint was stolen in a raid-raid at Costcutter in Kingswood.
Thieves who targeted the Barming store, at about 3.45am, threw a brick through a window to gain entry and made off with handfuls of cigarettes.
The store was closed this morning while forensic teams examined the scene.
The owners, who continued to sell regulars their morning newspapers from outside the shop today, hoped to reopen at 12pm.
Police have not said if the two incidents are linked.
