A man whose disappearance prompted an appeal from police for people to check their gardens, sheds and outbuildings has been found.

Mark Jack was reported missing from the Hermitage Lane area of Maidstone at about 3.45pm on Wednesday.

On Saturday night, a police spokesman said: “A 50-year-old man reported missing from the Maidstone area since Wednesday has been safely located.

“Officers would like to thank all those who assisted their enquiries and shared the appeal.”
