Man found hurt in Jubilee Square in Maidstone

An area in the centre of Maidstone was taped off to the public after a man in his 40s was found collapsed.

He was discovered at 6.15am today.

South East Coast Ambulance took the man to hospital and police sealed off the area while they conduct enquiries to establish the circumstances.

The public were excluded from an area of Jubilee Square close to the Muggleton pub.

The man's condition is described as serious.

The tape was reduced to a smaller area, just outside the British Heart Foundation shop and the Kent Reliance branch at 9.20am.

Officers are still conducting enquiries to establish the circumstances.
