There has been an accident on the M2 London-bound carriageway between J6, the Perry Court Interchange, and J5 at Stockbury.
The crash happened at around 4.40pm. The road is now clear but the disruption is ongoing as queues clear.
The accident involved two cars in the outside lane. Fortunately there were no injuries.
The incident was dealt with by Kent Highways officers.
