Traffic now moving M20 near Junction 8 for Leeds Castle and Maidstone Services after crash

All traffic was temporarily held on the M20 after a crash earlier this evening.

The emergency services were called to dealing with the accident on the coastbound carriageway at Junction 8 for the A20 near Leeds Castle and the Maidstone Services.

A vehicle has hit the central reservation and a man was taken to hospital, but the carriageway is now clear and traffic is on the move again.

A spokesman for police said: "Kent Police was called to a report that a car had collided with the central reservation near Junction 8 of the coastbound M20 shortly before 5.45pm.

"Officers attended along with South East Coast Ambulance Service and a man was taken to a local hospital."
