A249 reopens after burst water main near Detling

The A249 has fully reopened after a burst water main blocked part of the carriageway at Detling for three days.

The coastbound slip-road joining the A249 towards Sittingbourne and Sheppey had been closed since Thursday evening while South East Water carried out repairs.

But Highways England have confirmed the work is now complete and the road is fully open.
