Drivers were facing delays after a crash on a major route this afternoon.

One lane was blocked on the A299 northbound at Blue Bell Hill following the incident.

It happened on the northbound slip road to join Lord Lees Roundabout between Maidstone and Chatham.

Kent County Council’s highways department warned drivers to expect delays in the area following the collision.

The road has now been cleared.
